Hanging Brew

By: the voucher Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

Reception was a bit dicey throughout the day, what with hillside, tree cover, and rain, and this spot was no exception. Thanks for the explicit hints! It's very pretty in here with all the water dripping.

Redwood Brew

By: Passport11 Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

A potentially tough find under the deepest cover yet, but geosense led us to a logical spot, and some systematic searching produced success. I liked your container and log booklet. I'll have to check out that website! TFTC.

Special Brew

By: Passport11 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Without a trail map, things got a bit confusing here. Out and back for the next cache? Looping trail? Hmmmm. No matter, it's a pleasant walk in the woods! TFTC.

Bloody Brew

By: the voucher Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

We huffed and puffed up to this cache, and then wondered where the trail went beyond that. MROSD needs to get on the ball! Thanks.

Seeking the Brew

By: the voucher Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

bthomas and I teamed up today exploring this new OSP; one vehicle at each trailhead. The weather cooperated and we had a great time. The cache was discovered out of its hidey-hole, but we returned it. With rain, perhaps this wasn't the best idea. Thanks for marking the trailhead!

Witch's Brew II

By: the voucher Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

A very beautiful forest along this stretch of trail. Thanks for bringing us to Teague Hill, and TFTC.

Witch's Brew

By: the voucher Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

We found the cache, and then we found the water tank down the hill a bit. Whoops that was a wrong turn! Another interesting find nearby was a big double trunked redwood. One of the trunks had been cut down and we could see the springboard notches, but the other was still standing proud and strong. Thanks for the cache and the series!

The Oakwood Race Track

By: gopogo120 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Interesting story about this area! Thanks for bringing me here, and TFTC.

Kite Hill Cache

By: dlcalia Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

A pleasant walk to the cache, and I only got a little wet from a passing shower. Someone obviously had plans for more houses, I wonder why that didn't happen? I was glad to explore up here, having noticed the cache location several times as I passed by down below. TFTC.

Keep Your Eye On the Ball

By: GBoyz Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

The construction crew was trying to work on the artificial turf field, but the rain was getting in the way. I was suprised by the cache location, but I suppose it's secure enough. Thanks!

Off the Beaten Path

By: gopogo120 Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Fortunately a quick find since my eyes are just the right height. Even with the rain, a dog walker, a jogger, and half a dozen cars passed by. Obviously this area has been this way for quite a while, but I wonder what prompted the homeowner to build the fence back from the corner of his property? TFTC.

Independence Hall

By: the voucher Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

A quick grab after a late lunch at Buck's with bthomas. TFTC.

Near the Deer

By: the voucher Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

bthomas let me struggle with this hide, and it was a satisfying discovery once I finally figured out the hint. Things are holding up well inspite of the rain. TFTC!

J. F. Can Do from the Mountain

By: MrKarst Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

Whew! Quite a hike. Although perhaps not too tough as I ran into an elementary school class from Brisbane. Great views on this day after a storm. Cache pen is dry and I forgot mine so a picture of the cache contents and log sheet will hopefully suffice. Thanks for a great hike!

NO 33

By: Bob & Elliecat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I felt fortunate to come away with a find after my previous experiences with a Bob & Elliecat cache in this same park: lots of visits, but never a find. All quiet on a pleasant winter afternoon. TFTC.

The Tolkien Series - Gimli

By: caccbag Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

I risked the illegal parking and appreciated the mental and visual handrails. I was briefly thrown my the locking key box on the guard rail, thinking that was the cache, but I suppose it's for the lock on the gate. TFTC.

The Tolkien Series- Mt. Doom

By: caccbag Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

I love the views from Mt. Doom! ...and it was a popular spot today. While I was searching, one fellow noticed my widget, and wondered what the elevation was. I was happy to provide the information. After he wandered off to enjoy the northerly view, I took care of business. Thanks.

The Tolkien Series - Farmer Maggot

By: caccbag Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Small

Thanks for the pleasant hike. It was breezy and cool today, so I didn't mind the effort at all. Searching for the cache was another matter! How do you find these places? Eventually I called bthomas for a lifeline, and although his memory was hazy, he helped my narrow the search. Finally, as I was manuvering around I put my hand on something less than solid. It was quite lucky, actually. Very nicely done! TFTC.

The Tolkien Series - Mirkwood Forest

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

I parked along the road. After a short bushwhack and slide on my rear, I was at GZ. Probably not the intent, oh well. Very in theme location! TFTC.

The Tolkien Series - The Two Towers

By: caccbag Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro

Whew! What a tough hide! Fortunately, coordinates were spot on, and a previous log provided a crucial hint. TFTC!

94015

By: chirhoiotasigma Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I got drive-thru at a tastier place down the street, but ate it here. Good thing I had something to do 'cuz this appears to be a place to bring your lunch! TFTC.

The Tolkien Series - The Watcher in the Water

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I was headed towards some of the other caches in this series up the hill, and decided I could stop, even though muggle avoidance is not my favorite game. Spotted the cache from the car, and used it as a shield. Quick in and out with the motor running!

The Tolkien Series - Smaug

By: caccbag Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Quick find, cute cache container!

The Tolkien Series - Return of the King

By: caccbag Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

I liked the camouflage, although I had to knock off hundreds of bugs that have decided to make their home in it. Thanks for bringing the Tolkein scenes to life, this one was especially vivid for me!

Take A Seat

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

There was a cache in this area once a long time ago. Definitely worth having another one! Thanks,

Tiny Park

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Glad to have the park to myself! Quickly in and out. Parked next to the high fence with the threatening signs across the street.

The Root of All Evil

By: caccbag Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Handyman Special

By: BinaryBeth Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I felt quite conspicuous walking in just before sunrise, even tripping a couple of motion sensor lights. Fortunately, there were no barking dogs! TFTC.

The Tolkien Series - Roac

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

The first of several on a lunch run through Daly City. Thanks for a fun cache container!

Pacific Views

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Perfect day to visit this spot! I could make out the Farollone Islands in the distance. It'll take a miracle to save that church once an El Nino pattern returns. TFTC.

Head West Young Man

By: caccbag Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Just me and the groundskeeper, so I pretended to be circling the park on a walk. He was gone by the time I reached GZ. TFTC.

Palisades

By: jephersun Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

As previously noted, just black now, and not magnetic. It took me a while to find because the wind had pushed it several feet away. I've been to this park for a cache before, although previously it was on the illegal side of the fence. Thanks for the views and the fresh air on this gloriously sunny day.

Let's do some shopping

By: jephersun Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

On approach I noticed a fellow settling in for a lunchtime nap in his car right in front of GZ. So I aborted in favor of a sandwich from the nearby deli. On my way out, he was fast asleep and I got the job done. TFTC.

Fixer-Upper

By: BinaryBeth Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

After an early morning drop-off at the hospital, I had some caching time. The fellow at the dry cleaners wondered if I was going to come in, but when I said no, he took off on his morning jog leaving the door open. Nice neighborhood indeed! TFTC.

Yellow dot

By: rscout79 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Too dark this early morning to see the visual clue, but found it nonetheless. I was grateful to have discovered 'visitor' parking about 100' from GZ. TFTC!

Ugly Cache

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Well, I can't say I wasn't warned. Thanks for the smilie.

Wanna trade?

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I thought I would find a cache or two at lunch...then I realized I needed gas. Problem solved! TFTC.
