This was the first stop during my lunch walk around 'SamTrans Island'. It was a pleasant walk, and although the sky was threatening, I made it with just a few sprinkles. TFTC. mjp303

Thanks for the earthcache so close to my daily route. I decided to make a loop of 'SamTrans Island' for my lunchtime walk. It looked and felt like rain, but I didn't get wet. I enjoyed learning more about the SF Bay shoreline. mjp303

I had a bit of extra time before returning to the left coast, so I decided to take a walk in the woods. Thanks for providing a route to tour Thompson park. At this point, I was really enjoying my walk. Wow, that's quite a big high school! It was around this point that I started to notice the variety of colored blazes painted on the trees. Sort of confusing...some seemed to be very lightly used trails. The leaves were thick on the ground which made route finding a little bit harder. TFTC. mjp303

I had a bit of extra time before returning to the left coast, so I decided to take a walk in the woods. Thanks for providing a route to tour Thompson park. The clue pattern had started to reveal itself, so I wasn't worried about the one I missed earlier. This cache was a bit of a climb! Fortunately I am tall enough that reaching it was no problem. I had a bit of extra time before returning to the left coast, so I decided to take a walk in the woods. Thanks for providing a route to tour Thompson park. It took a bit of extra wandering around to find this cache...perhaps my widget's battery is getting weak? I wanted to climb to the highest point, but was worried I would run out of juice before I got to the final. TFTC. mjp303

I had a bit of extra time before returning to the left coast, so I decided to take a walk in the woods. Thanks for providing a route to tour Thompson park. I passed some sort of Boy Scout project on the way to this cache: it was a really high fence around a small plot. It doesn't seem that the deer are having much impact on the forest at all. I had a bit of extra time before returning to the left coast, so I decided to take a walk in the woods. Thanks for providing a route to tour Thompson park. What a fun series! I sure am glad I didn't have to search for this cache in the summertime! Batteries in the widget died just as I got close to GZ. Fortunately I was able to finish without it. Ok, off to the airport now! TFTC. mjp303

I had a bit of extra time before returning to the left coast, so I decided to take a walk in the woods. Thanks for providing a route to tour Thompson park. My initial approach to the cache was problematic, so I circled a bit before finding a better way. I found the cache on the ground in a place that is likely to collect water, and so moved it to a drier spot just 4 feet higher. I was a bit concerned in not finding the code, but decided to press on anyway. TFTC. mjp303
