White House Canyon Road Cut-Off

By: DarkZen Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

A quick find before leaving Whitehouse road and the mysterious 'Fence Posts' trail. Thanks for marking the turn.

Pebble Beach Tafoni

By: DarkZen Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

This was a really interesting spot! The cache was tough to get to; I was glad it was an overcast and threatinging day, which meant that the crowds were very light. After making the find, I inspected the Tafoni and watched a fisherman pull out a pretty large fish out of the heavy surf. Thanks!

Mojoceratops

By: DarkZen Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

More impressive cliffs! I experienced a bit of vertigo when I walked up to the edge, so I got down on my stomach to inspect things in detail. I love caching on the coast! Thanks for bringing me to this beautiful place.

Outlaw Beach

By: Evil and Dark Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I was definitely wishing for a place to park! Stopping along a very narrow shoulder on the inside of a curve made things interesting. In spite of the berm, there were several tire marks in the old dirt lot. Being in the Jeep I probably could have managed that, but it was a quick in and out and everything ended up ok. Thanks for pointing this access out!

Sea Any Whales?

By: Evil Cow Pod and DarkOrca Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Those are some impressive cliffs! I didn't see any whales here, just the washed up carcass down the road a bit. However, there was a couple watching the water with binoculars about 100 yards from GZ. TFTC.

Pescadero Marsh Starting Point

By: ECP and DZ Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

No time to explore on this trip, there's a hike further south that I'm trying to get to before the rain starts. I do recall a cache in this reserve a long time ago. Access was further south, onto the beach and then under the bridge where the creek drains into the ocean. About a mile in, and a very nice hike. TFTC.

Coastside Trail

By: nielsenc Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

A beautiful spot. Thanks for bringing me here. I got to experience the reason for the fences and netting first hand as a golf ball whistled just overhead. That shiny metal ring that secures the cache to the fence in your spoiler picture is now just a rusted shadow of its former self. It won't last too much longer. TFTC!

Jane's First HMB Hide

By: sealjane Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Thanks for introducing me to your very pleasant neighborhood. Figuring out which street the cache was on was a bit confusing because my widget's maps were way off. Things worked out eventually though! TFTC.

Woodcutter's Bridge

By: Team C2C Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Vegetation along the trail appears to have been cut back. There were a few spots where I had to dance around the poison oak vines arching over the trail, but nothing serious. Thanks for populating this obscure trail with caches!

Cascade Creek Beach: Secret Trailhead

By: Team C2C Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

The rain started up as I found this cache, so I grabbed my jacked before heading out to the beach for another cache. Tricky little hide! TFTC.

Flying Fickle Finger of Fate

By: DZ & ECP Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Pretty, even in the rain. Thanks for the hike.

Brave Duo

By: Team C2C Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

Well, I'm most of the way; what's a bit more of a hillside scramble? The view was a bit obscured, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. On a strange note, I saw two cars, one on the road to the south, one on the ridge to the north, just sitting. Were they watching me ascend in my red rain jacket? Or perhaps getting in one last phone call before heading further uphill into a cellular dead zone? Weird.

Breadcrumbs: Secret Trailhead

By: Team C2C Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I left this cache for last so that I'd have something to look forward to on the trip out. The rain was pounding, and I flushed 4 quail out of the hide bush on approach. TFTC.

The Grimm Forest

By: Team C2C Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

This was my favorite area along the trail. The rain was pattering on the leaves, and frogs were croaking. The trees were really pretty! That was one tough hide. I felt fortunate to have spotted it. TFTC!

Candy Cottage

By: Team C2C Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

Finally I emerge from the canyon to see a beautiful pond. The sounds of cars rushing by on Hwy 1 seem close, but I know the truth! Too much rain today to linger for long, but I feel satisfied to have seen this place from the backside! TFTC.

Bee box

By: Finnegans Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

I was bamboozled on this cache for a bit. Eventually the widget settled down and got me close enough to spot the tell-tale signs. The inside of the container was very wet. It seems that its hiding spot is in the path of a seep, and water is slowly trickling. With rain coming, this is sure to worsen. I tried to get it up a bit by putting a rock underneath, perhaps that will help. The birds were busy on the carcass! TFTC.

Ocean View

By: teamdw Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I thought I knew right where this cache would be hidden, but was suprised! It took a bit of a search. The wind was kicking up a bit and I nearly lost the cap when it blew over the edge of the bridge. Fortuately it got caught in some brambles in a place where I could barely reach it. Whew! TFTC!

New Years Trail-Beach Junction

By: DavidT21 & Fisherwoman Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I attempted the main gate, thinking that budget cuts or rain would mean that it was unoccupied. No such luck though. Forced to use the alternate entrance, I ran the poison oak gauntlet and made a quick find. TFTC!

Fence Posts

By: richchips Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

Ahhh, the mysterious Fence Posts cache. 5 years old today, and I'm only the 13th visitor. Before I knew the trailhead, I contemplated bushwhacking over from Whitehouse road, and boy am I glad I never made that attempt! What a cool area. I loved being in this isolated coastal canyon. Unfortunately, the container was half full of water, and the log sheet (even though double bagged) completely soaked. Will the next finder please bring a replacement log sheet and bag? If you're feeling really ambitious, bring a waterproof container. To mark my visit, I placed a fist sized white rock back with the container. Thanks for this adventure!

Carson's Cub Cache

By: meschen Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I've been to this park before! However, this hide got me further into the back corner, which I enjoyed a lot. Thanks for the cache!

The Dursley Cache

By: Toasterboygps & Suz Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

What is it with my widget and eucalyptus?!? Lots of casting about...Nice neighborhood, Harry's Dursley's didn't have it so good. TFTC.

The Tolkien Series - Sauron's Eye

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Checking October 20th off my date list. I've had trouble with some of your hides, but fortunately this one was a quick discovery for me. Hey, every park deserves a cache! Thanks.

Water Only Please

By: Bob & Elliecat Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I found this cache with my boys. They were amazed when it popped over the top. After taking care of business, we fished an old snow ski out of the water. Imagine that! TFTC.

My First Cache

By: boman96 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Welcome to geocaching! Didn't have access to the pictures on the widget, but eventually we found the correct little cubby hole. TFTC.

Vista Cache

By: genedavis Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Saturday morning is NOT a good time to search for this cache! ...unless you're a kid or with one...absolutely packed, but we were persistent and got the log inked.

Los Prados Park Trail

By: shawberger Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I missed the closest acess, but after a short walk made the quick find. Lots of people enjoying their backyards along the way. TFTC.

The King's Highway

By: graniterhino Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

Thanks for all the effort that went into this very nicely constructed cache! I love the style.

BPB & T

By: J.Monroe Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was pleased to find a nice clean log sheet. Thanks for marking the place where you work; these days having such a place is no small accomplishment!

Heritage Park Observation Deck

By: graniterhino Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Peninsula caching with bthomas. He let me work this one solo as he had previouly had the pleasure of an 'aha' moment. Very nicely done. Thanks for the hand-rail encouraging me along!

The Lanai and the Koi Pond

By: graniterhino Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Looped the block and then spotted access. Nearly got stymied by a very large pile of trimmings dumped in our way. Spotted a large tree loaded down with nearly ripe persimmons. Oh, got the cache. Thanks.

UP IN THERE

By: CNDGIRL1 Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

Never thought I'd say that we found this cache by climbing down to it, but yeah, that's the way it happened. bthomas' geosense is a thing of beauty! Very happy to resolve a previous DNF!

Near the Perimeter

By: Markino Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

A quick find because I took the advice of previous finders and ignored my widget. Renovations have CSM looking spiffy! We passed a water polo match in progress on the way in. TFTC.

Evil Avenue #1 - Boulders

By: Geoides and Son Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

Good to finally erase an earlier DNF, the first of several for me during today's cache run. bthomas provided encouragement and helped me focus, which was greatly appreciated. A fun hide! TFTC.

The Road To Ryder Park

By: chirhoiotasigma Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I was amused by the 3 probing sticks we found next to GZ. We made good use of them too, but in the end I had to wade into the thicket to retrieve the cache. Thanks!

Ramona's Cache #2

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

I scraped up my forearm trying to retrieve the cache, and then realized that I could have just removed a bit of camouflage and had an easy time it. Doh! TFTC.

Princess' Pediatrician - Gabriella's First Visit

By: caccbag Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

No one working at the office on a Saturday except us geocachers. That was nice actually! Good to meet matreus. Thanks!

Coming Home - Gabriella's Escape

By: caccbag Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Following Gabby's trail...Thanks for all the caches!

Gabriella's Cache

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Congratulations on your new daughter! My son had his appendix out in this hospital. Here's hoping that your family's visits to the place in the future are indeed infrequent! TFTC.

Stop stairing at me - Gabriella's prep shop

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

A quick in-and-out. Approached to within 10 feet and left the vehicle running. Some places are easy on Saturday, and some are not! TFTC.

Dragon's Booty

By: afternooncamp Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

We walked over from the SPCA parking lot. Thanks for a fun and well stocked cache!

The Dirty (Baker's) Dozen: Archer J. Maggot

By: caccbag Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

I was very glad to have bthomas with me on this hunt. Very breezy and chilly on the way to GZ. Love Kincaides! TFTC.

Gone Nuts

By: UnixGal (aka estemmer) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Glad to erase a DNF. How'd I miss that the first time around? TFTC.

SISA #5 - Coffee break

By: kobidge Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

There's a lot around here that isn't obvious to the eye. Thanks for expanding my horizons!

Lagoon Trail

By: shawberger Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

It was pretty along the water today. Thanks for bring me out for a pleasant walk!

The Dirty (Baker's) Dozen: Glen Gilpin

By: caccbag Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I never knew about this park. Thanks for bringing me here!

Paloma Cache

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Strangely deserted for a Saturday morning. Moving to the Bay Area from Chicago almost 9 years ago, we nearly purchased a house just up the street from this cache. I remembered how nice this area is! TFTC.

The Dirty (Baker's) Dozen: Pedro Jiminez

By: caccbag Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Coordinates seemed a bit off to me, but eventually we made a find. The cache container is not securely attached to its 'camouflage' any more. I'd hate to see it drop into the tall grass. The chances of finding it would be slim to none!

Laguna Coil

By: caccbag Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

In contrast to Paloma, this park area was PACKED! Funny how we cleared the place out. Heh. TFTC.

Is that IV IC?

By: caccbag Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I'm glad for lifelines, and for the opportunity to take a break and eat some lunch in a very pleasant park. After getting some much needed guidance, we went over GZ with a fine tooth comb and had the container in hand after a few minutes. I recognized your son's signature camouflage style from another cache today. Natural elements had made it practically invisible. TFTC.

Will-A Tree Hide it?

By: caccbag Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

The cache sort of socked me in the eye. Eventually city workers will reclaim their park, and this little hide-away will be gone. There have been several caches in this park over the years, and every park deserves a cache, so thanks!

Down Town Millbrae

By: boman96 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Downtown is where the city's office buildings and police station are, right? I appreciated the easy-in and easy-out with plenty of parking! TFTC!

Mini Me (Redux)

By: NavySparksandtheMrs Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

First cache of the day as bthomas and I headed up the peninsula. I noted that unlike it's larger cousins, the mini ammo box hasn't grown its water-tight seal yet. Rainy weather's coming, better grow up fast! Pretty cute now though! TFTC.

The Easter Cache Redux

By: k1ayman Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

This cache was a quick stop along our route north. I did the heavy lifting and paperwork; bthomas provided the trackable swag. We were in and out before a peloton came spinning by. TFTC.
