Terrain: Thanks for the history lesson of (El)Granada! Things proceeded normally until the search for the final. As I approached GZ, I could see that the fire department had their pumper truck set up a bit down the road with ladder fully extended. Due to tree cover, they probably couldn't see me, but I don't think they were really looking. There were plenty possible hiding places, so I sat down on a large downed tree to check the hint. Suddenly I heard the engine rev and a gurgling noise followed by a whooshing...yup, you guessed it, test shot with the water cannon! Right where I was sitting and pretty much right on the cache, as it turned out. I scrambled out of the way, fortunately only getting slightly wet. After about 5 minutes of deluge, the test was done and I had the cache in hand! TFTC! mjp303

Great hike, and even better views! About an hour and a half from start to finish, including stops for the breadcrumb caches. I think bthomas would have moved along more quickly, but my lungs were burning, and he was kind enough to allow me to set the pace. TFTC! mjp303 BTW, I dropped a red jeep TB in the cache, and then discovered the TB tag in my backpack later on. Whoever retrieves it please contact me so that I can get you the tag! Thanks.
