We introduced geocaching to a fellow who was flying his remote control airplane on the old road. A regular spot for him and he had wondered about all the people going up on the top of the hill! Interesting area! TFTC. mjp303

[8D]FTF![8D] On a trek to fill DeLorme pages, and this cache was a lot further out of the way than I needed, but the lure of an FTF after nearly 14 months kept us going. Very cool secluded canyon, and a bit of a challenge to get to, but well worth it in the end. The cache was not in the expected spot, but sharp eyes spotted it about 5 feet away half buried in the dirt. We returned it to its proper hiding place. TFTC! mjp303

Headed toward Midas. This was a quick find. TFTC! mjp303

Midas is an interesting town! Wandered around in the bushes at the posted coordinates, which made no sense at all. Then noticed others had the same issues and had posted alternate ones. At that point, we had attracted the attention of the local neighborhood watch captain, who got an introduction to geocaching. A friendly fellow, and we made the find under his watchful eye. Lots to explore near this cache! The hunt took a while, but the boys were well occupied while made the search. Very fun to see reminders of days gone by. TFTC. mjp303

We took your suggestion and had our lunch here too! Great views. There was a large flock of big white birds on the water, but they were too far away to tell exactly what kind. TFTC. mjp303

I almost gave up on this one. The camouflage really blends in. Glad I kept at it! TFTC. mjp303

Old cemeteries are my favorite. Lots of history in these parts! TFTC. mjp303

Whew! back on pavement after a long day on dirt from Golconda. TFTC. mjp303

The sign near the cache proclaims that Larry is back. A fellow was sleeping in his truck with the AC running right next to GZ so I had to be a bit stealthy. TFTC! mjp303
