We spent a several afternoons swimming and boating at Packer lake during our camping vacation. Wonderful! As to the cache, an understandable string of DNFs: I found it buried under about 6 inches of soft rotting wood in the hidey hole. In order to prevent future sinking, I set the cache on a piece of bark and then replaced the camouflage. Thanks for a cache in this wonderful spot! mjp303

Family camping up at Packsaddle just below Packer Lake, but I had to make a trip down to the Sardine Lake campground host to get some firewood. Might as well grab the caches! Very pretty area. TFTC. mjp303

We paddled out against a bit of an afternoon breeze and enjoyed exploring the island. After spending a long time at GZ, and spotting the likely hiding place with no cache, we eventually gave up. However, luck was on our side. Walking back to the kayak, I happened to look in the firepit and noticed what looked like a cache. Sorry I didn't return the cache to its hiding place because after about an hour of searching the breeze had really picked up and we were quite anxious to get back to shore. TFTC. mjp303
