Preserving the TB Hotel

By: TeamOrville Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Day five of our trip up North to camp and explore, and we're finally heading home. A quick exchange. TFTC.

White Deer Mountain

By: Ken24 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Day five of our trip up North to camp and explore, and we're finally heading home. A quick grab and go made a little more adventurous by the construction barricade: After leaving the cache, I opted to stay on the shoulder side and then had to traverse a slightly collapsed section of the road...no problem in the jeep though. TFTC.

Going Coastal in 07'

By: GeoJakenfam Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Day five of our trip up North to camp and explore, and we're finally heading home. This was a quick stop after driving the scenic route from Orick to Weitchpec to Willow Creek to Arcata (no caches close to the route...but awesome scenery). TFTC.

Southbound Vista Point Give Us a Sign

By: Huntnlady, adopted by crazycavelover Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Day five of our trip up North to camp and explore, and we're finally heading home. There was a huge RV parked closeby, but I was able to squeeze the jeep in front to block their view. Fortunately the sign provided further cover. Nice view! TFTC.

Salmon Creek State Park

By: Huntnlady, adopted by crazycavelover Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Day five of our trip up North to camp and explore, and we're finally heading home. By this point it was getting really HOT. Thanks for the chance to stretch our legs.

Miyasis Dragon

By: Zack, Keith, Louise and Debbie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Day five of our trip up North to camp and explore, and we're finally heading home. This was the last cache of the trip, and it turned out to be quite an adventure. You gotta love the mis-rated oldies with difficulty/terrain suprises: A steep side hill, loose rock, slippery dry grass, poison oak, plenty of inviting snake habitat, and two 7yo boys to keep an eye on. Nevertheless, it was an interesting area along the river and we were sorely tempted to cool off in the river, but time was getting late. TFTC.

"Flying Tree Cache"

By: Tigger 2 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

Day five of our trip up North to camp and explore, and we're finally heading home. This was a really educational cache. I had no idea! The boys enjoyed playing engineer and imagining that they were bringing the logs to the mill. Thanks!
