I made a quick stop while on my way the the nearby earthcache. It has been really interesting driving through all of these oil fields. I never knew about this area of the state. Thanks for helping me learn about it! mjp303

Dad's Fishin Hole by BBQ-Stain & Bullseye-Ron
Size: Regular Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5
Pretty spot with a nice view of the resevoir, which was full up to the top. A quick find of what probably is a smaller replacement cache. Warm sun, pleasant breezes, a great day to be on the road caching! TFTC. mjp303

Reef City by General Grant & The Mad Dog
Size: Micro Difficulty: 2 Terrain: 1
It felt a bit like trespassing, but nobody seemed to notice or care. Hot day, I would have appreciated the opportunity to purchase a cool drink. The ridicuously low gas prices on the sign made me smile. TFTC. mjp303

Not enough time to grab them all on my scenic route to the Bay Area, but a regular size cache definitely grabbed my attention. TFTC! mjp303

Headed for home in the Bay Area via the scenic route and collecting a few caches along the way. As I stopped, a jogger came by and was probably wondering what I was doing. TFTC. mjp303

Gate 2 Beaver Creek by Badfeet
Size: Micro Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5
Seemed like a pretty bold hide, but I suppose the gate doesn't get opened all that often? This gorge area seemed really interesting, and I wished I had more time to explore. TFTC. mjp303

Starting at the coast in Carpenteria, it took me quite a while to cover those miles in a car. On a bike would be impossible, for me at least. Thanks for a cache at the summit. mjp303
