The Soda Lake Road Once

By: TerryDad2 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

I have to say that I was a bit confused by the title of this earthcache, but once on scene it all made sense. A series of storms had passed through in the days before I arrived, and there were many places where it was evident that water had washed across the road leaving sediment a bit further downhill. Thanks!

Carrizo Plain Sag Pond (one of many)

By: TerryDad2 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

Recent rains had left the sag pond full of several feet of water, and the grasses were were starting to sprout and turn the hills vibrant green! Lovely. Thanks.

Lucky Antelope

Ditto to the previous log. I found the cache upside down on its lid, which is a recipe for leakage. I suppose most of the year it's pretty dry out here, but lately not so much! I tried to improve the situation by putting the container upright and concealing it with rocks. This is page 114 of the Golden State DeLorme challenge for me! TFTC!

GZ felt like I was in somebody's backyard, but looking around I figured they probably wouldn't notice! hehe.

Ahhh, wide open spaces. Gotta love the clear views and clean air. Thanks for bringing me along this road!

In a Bush

By: elrojo14 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Recent rains have made everything bright green. Clear and comfortable temperatures today. I don't think I'd want to be out here in the Summer though. TFTC.

KCL Rocks

Interesting old water tank! I was tempted to take a side trip up the road to check things out, but was running a bit late. Next time! TFTC.

An ode to Nudecacher

By: elrojo14 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

That's quite a cache! And a very inspiring view! Figuring that I couldn't improve on nature's glory, I decided to pass on any photographs au naturel. Sorry. [8)]

Who Was Don Pedro Fages?

By: johnislost Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

There is a shotgun shell of the same color referred to in the hint in a very conspicuous spot near GZ. Really threw me for a loop. Until I stepped back to survey the scene, I was convinced the cache was missing. heh! Thanks.

Wine? No!

Hwy 33 is really a nice drive...too bad the road is closed further south! I would have loved to drive it all the way to the coast. TFTC.

A Bigger GPS!

By: Hedge Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I was looking harder when I really needed to look smarter. Standing up to take a break, the cache nearly smacked me in the head! TFTC.

I felt a bit strange over there by the cache, but nobody gave me a second glance. Thanks!

A quick find passing through on my way back to LA. Hoards of folks flocking to the snow. Evidently it's a status symbol to pile a bunch on top of the car and then drive back into the city. TFTC.

Keep on Truckin'!!

By: Skeleton Crew Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

With recent storms, plenty of folks about enjoying the snow. I stopped in for a drink, but passed on the gas. TFTC.

Business District

By: ozzyemm Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I took the liberty of replacing your cache; hopefully you won't mind. Along with the other cache in town, this is one of two caches on the northern side of Southern California DeLorme page 75. As such, it may be useful to those crazies like me who are trying to finish the SoCal DeLorme challenge (GC18M1N). I enjoyed the town, but quickly moved on to other out of the way places!

"D"itch Stop

By: BooBooBee, Baby Boo and Eekuh Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Recent rains had soaked the log. I carefully unpeeled a page and signed with my sharpie pen. Thanks for pointing out this nice park!

Grape of the Basevine

By: Ryan and Zulema Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Interesting spot. Not too muddy in spite of recent rains. I heard lots of engine brakes whining in the distance. TFTC.

Tracking down bthomas caches is always a pleasure. I did a little maintanance as the words of the song echoed inside my head. Thanks!
