Headed home to the Bay Area after a winter vacation in Palm Springs, we stopped here in hopes of grabbing the jeep TB. Alas, it was already gone. However, it was my first cache in Tulare county, which is a very good thing. Only 3 more counties to go. Thanks.

The Rocky Mound Cache

I needed a cache in Imperial county for the challenge, and the first one I came to ended up as a DNF. Fortunately I was able to find this cache after a short search. I loved watching the light fade over the mountains to the west, and being able to see the Moon, Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury (very faint) in the evening sky. TFTC!
